This was a hackathon project at HackYeah 2022 (Europe's biggest hackathon).

With Eco-Crafts I had the pleasure of being a finalist and speaking at the Tauron Arena in Krakow

Bringing it together

Using Eco Crafts you are able to reuse materials that are lying around you to create useful craft ideas that you can enjoy, and inturn reducing the amount of waste that will need to be recycled or sent to landfills and incinerators

Eco-Crafts also helps teach people about waste management, and spreading awareness about enviromental problems. Furthermore Eco-Crafts builds a community of like-minded individuals which also contribute to the craft database by submitting their own crafts and voting on others

There Is No Planet B!

We got only one planet, we better start acting like it before it is too late.

Plastic, Plastic, Plastic ...

By the time you finish reading this plage, two to four garbage trucks of plastic will have been dumped into our oceans. Infact we have more microplastics in the ocean than we have stars in the Milky Way

Massive Patches!

There are five massive patches of plastic in the oceans around the world. These huge concentrations of plastic debris cover large swaths of the ocean. The “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” covers 20 million square kilometers of water!

Solutions?

Unfortunately for now there is no magical quick solution. Eco Crafts and other causes that push to reduce, reusue and recycle are just a tiny piece of a very complex puzzle. But our individual actions matter and so does collective effort.

1. Reduce Your Use of Single-Use Plastics

2. Support Legislation to Curb Plastic Production and Waste

3. Support Organizations Addressing Plastic Pollution

4. Spread the word

5. Keep On Innovating!
